When someone sacrifices so much and never asks for anything in return we can say this person is selfless. When this person puts all others before himself we can consider them caring. When every conversation with this individual ends in “I love you and I’m so proud of you” you can say they are supporting. Even though I see that my father embodies all of these characteristics, they are merely footnotes to the sacrifices he has provided to make sure I became who I am today. He’s a role model, a coach, a leaning post, a reality check, a shoulder, a pusher, a real father.
